MATCH PREVIEW | Reserves look to get season back on track against Warriors

Leeds Rhinos return to Reserves action this week as Chev Walker's side take to the road to clash with Wigan Warriors at Robin Park Arena on Saturday afternoon, kick off 12pm.

Both sides come into the contest level on eight points with four wins and one loss so far in the 2025 season. The Rhinos suffered their defeat last time out after a strong start to the competition - Hull FC getting the better of them in a tight 18-16 result. Walker's side opened the season with a run of four straight wins against Leigh, Huddersfield, St Helens and Bradford to move up to second in the table behind Warrington (also unbeaten), but even a late fightback against the Black and Whites came too late to save the winning start.

Compared to previous seasons, this year's Reserves side has had a large makeup of Under-18 talent, especially last time out when 11 Academy players ran out in the clash against Hull. The try scoring has been shared around too, as Harley Thomas, Marcus Qareqare, Presley Cassell and George Brown are all tied on three tries, whilst Thomas' goal kicking has contributed to a personal points haul of 44 for the former Dewsbury Celtic player.

Wigan also head into Saturday's game with four wins and one loss from five games so far. Since losing out in a tight 25-24 contest against St Helens in March, John Duffy's side have won their last three against Salford, Hull KR and Bradford and have been the highest scoring side this year with 196 points, so Saturday's contest is set to be another close affair at Robin Park.
